After we cleared our garden, we had lots of space and loads of flower pots. The children enjoyed exploring all the different parts of the still fairly wild garden. We were heading into autumn, the evenings were cooling and getting darker. We made houses for the fairies, who danced around the garden every evening, and toasted marshmallows and made smores over an open fire. We explored the little wooded grove over the brook, and put up swings in the trees.
